About Jacquinn

Jacquinn Sinclair is a Boston-area journalist, author, and poet. Currently, she's a contributing performing arts writer and theater critic for WBUR The ARTery and contributing editor at Boston Art Review. Her journalistic work seeks to highlight creatives and organizations whose work is at the intersection of art and activism. As a poet, her work centers on nature's role in healing from trauma, grief, and loss. Her debut poetry collection, The Wounded Forest, is forthcoming in fall 2026 from A Forest of Faith Publishing.

Jacquinn holds a bachelor's degree in journalism, master's degree in public relations from Boston University, and previously studied vocal performance. She is an active performer in the Greater Boston area. Jacquinn's stories, poems, and reporting have been anthologized in the International Women's Writing Guild's Heels Into The Soil: Stories and Poems Resisting The Silence, New Jersey Fan Club: Artists And Writers Celebrate The Garden State, and most recently, How We Take Up Space: Memories, Stories and Poems on Spatial Justice. She is a 2024-2025 Live Arts Boston Grant Winner, a 2024 City of Boston and Fine Arts Work Center Poetry Scholarship Recipient, a 2023-2024 GrubStreet Teaching Fellow, and a 2023 Dunamis Boston Emerging Artist Fellow. An avid traveler and food enthusiast, her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, Boston Art Review, Momentum, Lonely Planet, American Theatre Magazine, and more.
